Description:

This format corresponds to the withdrawn ISO 24613:2008 standard, devoted to the description of (mostly machine-readable) lexicons. It is superseded by a TEI-based format, defined by ISO 24613-4:2021. The 2021 format is not backwards-compatible.

The 2008 format (indeed, subsets of it) were used by several tools, most (all?) of which are not offered online any longer.
