Terse RDF Triple Language
Abbreviation: Turtle
Scope: Standardisation of textual syntax for RDF
Topic: Serialization
Standard body: W3C
Keywords: syntax, RDF
Description:

Turtle is a serialization format for RDF. It has been developed since 2011 within W3C. Currently, it has W3C Working Draft status. The specification defines the syntax for RDF. By using Turtle, an RDF graph can be described in a compact textual form. Turtle is a subset of Notation 3 (N3), but not as powerful, because it can only serialize valid RDF graphs.
